Kids Can’t Wait: A new resource for high school students

The era of globalization has made students compete with each others at school, in entering college and also at work in the years to come. The employment number in the United States has increased while many high school graduates are lacking of skills and hardly get a good job. The state is in crisis of successful education.

Regarding this issue, Kidscantwait.org is trying to support high school students to be prepared to enter college or the workforce while the public and the policymaker are busy discussing the testing issue. The Campaign for the Class of 2008 from Kids can’t Wait is to provide high school students across the state to access academic programs in English and Math and be proficient in both.

Their academic programs will enhance the students’ skills which they need to succeed especially in math and English since “many high school graduates end up in second class jobs just because they can’t pass the 6th grade English and math tests employers use to screen new employees.” as mentioned by Kidscantwait in their article.
