Kigose is basically a search engine for students and teachers and is helpful for classroom use when finding educational resources. This search engine is filtered carefully and only includes educational websites in the search result. Its mission is to be an educational search engine which is simple to use yet giving relevant results.

Technology
The name Kigose is actually shortened from Kids Google Search because its search engine is initially using Google Custom Search Engine™ service. Currently Kigose is running on three Google Custom Search Engines for kids, teens and teachers. Each search engine has different database and presents results in different ways too.

Services
School search engine is a search engine with three different levels (kids, teens and teachers) which only browse selected educational websites. There are also refinements which appear in the search result for teens and teachers’ level that should help to get more specific result.

Other classroom tools are map, translator and unit converter. The map and the translation tool which you can find in Kigose are using Google Maps™ mapping service and Google Translate™ translation service.

Educational directory consists of educational directory for kids, teens and teachers – cached from DMOZ and also educational resources directory for educational videos, slideshow, games and software which cannot be indexed by the search engine.
